Well! What can we say about the last 4 months?? …in a word? ROLLERCOASTER!
We have had tremendous highs of new team members and the isolation of others, the farm family pulling together yet feeling more apart than ever, laughs and cries, great ideas starting to take off before crashing back to the ground…it’s been tough yet shown us what we are capable of!
The lockdown really gave us local producers chance to shine and show the wider community what we can do by pulling together as a team and reacting positively to what life throws at us all…
The meat business is usually ran by Farmer Al’s wife, all on her tod and that suited her up until Covid-19 when BOOM the orders went through the roof and our butcher managed to go through 2 new kettles keeping himself plied with coffee to ‘meat’ the demand.
What many people won’t know is that running a butchery and meat business is super time consuming and we have found recently that we pay out more in wages and costs than what we take in meat sales! However as we are passionate about great tasting and our own locally produced meats this is what kept us ticking along….until now!
We need help more than ever from our old and new customers! Orders since the end of ‘lockdown’ have absolutely plummeted! We have been left feeling a little empty and not really sure which way to turn so PLEASE HELP!
It wasn’t that long ago that we asked for feedback however I think now that we are entering the ‘new world’ it’s important that we find out from anyone who has bought our produce over the last few months, the answers to the below feedback survey – as a thank you for completing it we will be popping all of the submissions into Farmer Al’s yukky farm hat and pulling one at random to win a free tasty meat treat! We really are after THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY! Please be honest and help us to improve what we do so that we can continue to trade! All the submissions will go into a draw to win a meat voucher
