With the IOM Food & Drink festival looming (Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th) I thought that this week I would try to get the readers to join in the blog. Come on BK Family we need your input to really make the weekend a success.
What is your favourite Ballakelly Meat and how do you cook it.
Ballakelly Meat Heroes would like you to submit your entries and we will pick the top 5 who will win a £20 meat voucher to spend at the festival, and from the top 5 we will choose a supreme champion who’s recipe will be prepared by Ma Ma Ranson so you can all come and try it.
To get you going my favourite dish is Bangers Mash & Beans!
While we talk bangers, could you also post your favourite flavours as the top 6 will make the food festival shelf. Then there will also be a winning ‘new’ flavour. If your new suggestion wins then you can come and collect some free ones at the show.

We have a recipe section on the web site [link] which we would really like to grow. Often, we get asked how do I cook this cut of meat? So it would be great to have recipes for all the cuts, if you bring them to the food festival then we will give you 10% off that meat so that you can go home and try out your recipe, then submit photos which we can use in our food gallery.

Pork and leek sausage, fried to seal in the taste then casseroled with the butchers special sauce or whatever the butcher puts it in 😉 very tasty sausages🐷
