This week we received a lovely email from Resa, for her home school work she had to learn something about Manx produce and chose to learn more about Ballakelly. She has created a brochure and we think it is brilliant!
Below is what Resa had to say:
“Hello my name is Resa , for home school work one of my tasks was to do some home learning on Manx produce. I knew instantly what I wanted to do it on, the most delicious thing in the world. “What is that?” I hear you say, well obviously Ballakelly farm meat. My dad used to go to school with the owners Alan and Rachel. We first tried there delicious, most juiciest pork sausage and hog roast baps at the Agricultural show. We found out that they had a farm shop that you could buy from. Then we got some pork chops for our Sunday roast we instantly fell in love with their meat. I never used to have a clean plate on a Sunday roast (I am a fussy eater according to my parents) but when I had Ballakelly meat it was GONE!!! We have Ballakelly sausages for Saturdays and Ballakellly roast for Sundays. Remember to always by local it’s how farmers keep on running their business. Shop local, support local and eat local. Its better for our community and Island it also is very fresh and very low food miles.”
